The Central Pennsylvania Chapter, Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. covers Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lebanon, Lancaster, Adams, Franklin, and Perry Counties. We are an association for electrical and systems contractors who represent businesses engaged in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and devices for homes, schools, commercial establishments, industrial plants, and similar projects. Our largest program is an apprenticeship program to train construction electricians.

Congratulations! Kurt Geisinger of ASCOM, Inc. was announced as the Herm Sebastian Award Winner for achieving the highest cumulative grade point average for all 4 years. Perfect Attendance Awards were presented to Kyle Dowling of ASCOM, Inc. and Zachary Weaver of Swam Electric Co., Inc. Andrew Dill of CM Squared, Inc. earned the highest grade for Year 4. Heather Leas of SECCO, Inc. earned the highest grade for Year 3. Christopher Place of Leer Electric, Inc. earned the highest grade for Year 2. Mike Hammer of SECCO, Inc. earned the highest grade for Year 1.
WIRE-OFF Competition Zachary Weaver of Swam Electric Co., Inc. won the 9th annual Wire-Off Competition. He will represent the Chapter in the National Apprentice of the Year Competition in Louisville, Kentucky in October.
2011-2012 School year Apprenticeship classes will start Wednesday, September 7 and Thursday, September 8.
