The Central Pennsylvania Chapter, Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. covers Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lebanon, Lancaster, Adams, Franklin, and Perry Counties. We are an association for electrical and systems contractors who represent businesses engaged in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and devices for homes, schools, commercial establishments, industrial plants, and similar projects. Our largest program is an apprenticeship program to train construction electricians.

Open Enrollment
Applications will be accepted March 5-16, 2012. If you would like to be added to the official notice distribution list or receive other information about apprenticeship and electrical careers, please send an email to Christi Buker at cbuker@bukerteam.com or call 697-7553. Our next application period will be June 4-15, 2012.
Information!
If you want information on apprenticeship and careers in the electrical industry, then you should plan to attend the IEC Open House. Any interested member of the public is welcome to attend the free informational session, but you must register by February 17. The Open House will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at HACC, Midtown #2, 1500 North Third Street, Harrisburg, from 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm. WIRE-OFF Competition
On Tuesday, March 6, 2012 IEC Year 4 apprentices will compete in an 8 hour long Wire-Off Competition. The winner will represent the Chapter at the National Apprentice of the Year in October in Fort Worth, Texas. If you would like to come see the competition, please call 717-697-7553 to put your name on the guest list.

The Annual Graduation and Apprentice Awards Banquet will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
