The Central Pennsylvania Chapter, Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. covers Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lebanon, Lancaster, Adams, Franklin, and Perry Counties. We are an association for electrical and systems contractors who represent businesses engaged in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and devices for homes, schools, commercial establishments, industrial plants, and similar projects. Our largest program is an apprenticeship program to train construction electricians.

Apprenticeship Open House!
A free INFORMATIONAL session will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm. You must register by February 19 by phone or sending an email to cbuker@bukerteam.com. The session will be held at the HACC, Midtown #2 building, Room 202, 1500 North 3rd St., Harrisburg. High school juniors, seniors, parents, teachers, and any interested members of the public may attend. Come and learn what apprenticeship is and how it works from current apprentices. Hear about various career opportunities in the electrical construction industry. No applications will be accepted at the Open House.
Open Enrollment dates
The IEC Electrical Apprenticeship Program accepts applications during Open Enrollment periods twice each year. The dates for 2010 are set for March 1-12, 2010 and June 7-18, 2010. Official notices with detailed instructions will be sent out one month prior to each of these dates.
