Annual Awards & Apprentice Graduation Banquet

Chapter of the Year!
Mechanicsburg, PA – For the second year in a row, the Central Pennsylvania Chapter IEC has been named the National Chapter of the Year! The award was presented at the National IEC Convention in St. Louis on October 24, 2009. Chapters compete in four categories based on the total number of contractor members. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter is in Category B. One award is made in each category based on membership growth, participation in National IEC events, and volunteer service on National committees and leadership positions.
"This award is earned by our members," said Christi Buker, Executive Director for the Chapter. "It recognizes members, and demonstrates their commitment to be involved, well-trained individuals and companies. We are honored to receive the award on behalf of our members!"
Wire-Off and Apprentice of the Year Competition!
On March 9, 2010, six apprentices competed in the Central Pennsylvania Chapter IEC Wire-Off Competition. The winner of the competition will be announced at the Banquet on May 11 and will then be eligible to go to the National IEC Apprentice of the Year Competition in October in Phoenix, Arizona.
